Labels... gone but at least I've been busy

To view the rest of these creations or to order, visit my Etsy shop. They are 20% off until 11/30/12!

Whenever I start working someplace, I remember why I like creating my own designs. I've been working at a design agency for the last few months as a production designer. Which basically means just redoing and doing again oh yeah and one more time please... other people's templates basically. The last couple weeks I needed to vent creatively and make something for me. I needed to make it a little bit productive so I created some holiday mailing labels. Here is a sample of my favorite!

Busy, busy, busy

Monroe has this toy that sings this song,"Busy busy busy, there's so much to do...". Kirk has been changing the words and singing, "Mommy's really busy...". It's true, there is so much going on this time of year but I'm happy staying busy.

One of my biggest projects was designing these new labels, setting up a website and an Etsy shop. They are wraparound labels that are printed with all of your recipients name and addresses. To tell you a little bit about them they are mainly for weddings, but can be used for any occasion. They are pretty unique because you can create them in any font, color or design to make them match your invitation, and the more you get the lower the price/label. 500+ labels are only $0.39! It's been fun designing some pre-made labels but it has also taken a lot of time. Finally, they are complete! Let me know what you think, especially if you have feed back. You can view them all either on my website or through my Etsy site.

Is that bad...?

This isn't the company that I'm working for, but the logo's could be cousins.

Somehow I still got a freelance job even though I bashfully told the owner that his logo reminded me of male anatomy... I'll be busy the next couple of days redesigning their website. Hallelujah!

Bump It

The snail fabric is from Heather Ross's Far Far Away line. It is from the same line as the froggy curtains.

Yay, Monroe is finally at the age that it's safe to have a bumper. My friend Sarah gifted this bumper to Monroe. I chose out the fabrics and her mama, Kim, made it. I love it and I think Monroe's head does too. He's started to get a bit crazy at night, so it's nice to have some padding for that noggin.
Thanks Kim!

Sweetest thing!

Odosketch is the coolest little website I came across. I saw this drawing and thought of little baby brundage. I hope he's this sweet with the ladies when he gets older. Basically, Odosketch just gives you a drawing pad and you can draw anything you'd like. Then it replays it for you and you can export and save it. I think I may do a little family portrait this weekend. Let me know if you post anything, I'd love to see it.
